Tonight will be the night

In a song I love (Fall for you by Secondhand Serenade) it says "Tonight will be the night that I will fall for you". He's speaking of love. I'm speaking of the end of a rebellion and an empire. Tonight is the night that I will either fall or rise up because of you.  I have came to the conclusion that I can't avoid this. Even if I could I'm not sure it would be the right move. I've waited for this all to happen, but for it all to happen in one night is a little overwhelming. I could wait a lifetime for us to come to terms but it would help no one. I don't want your apoligies or your pain. I just want mutual happiness between everyone. I know it's not a hard goal, but it's been fleeting lately. Maybe "tonight will be the night that I will fall for you, over again, don't make me change my mind. I will live to see another day, I swear it's true."
