Nothing better

Nothing better than a hot bowl of spagettios in the morning, or at least that's what my cat thinks as she tries to take it away from me. She gets so close to a side with her little tongue sticking out then she just can't get it because I scoot it a little bit further away. I love her and all it's just that I prefer her kitty tongue stay in her kitty mouth and out of my breakfast :P
Really excited for tonight too. There's actually nothing better than getting to go to a concert with someone you care about :) I'll let you guys know how that goes later.

Forever Together

I hope as the time slips away,
quick as the sun setting at the end of each day,
you can smile as you think of me again.
I hope you could say
'I honestly love her'
as you end your day.
Maybe the memories of me would give strength to fight it,
to push back on the hands of time,
to keep me in sight.
Because if I'm not with you at the end of this night,
I'll try to come save you by the new morning light.
Hold you close and we'll push time's hands together.
Keep you safe with me, always and forever.
Never finding anything we couldn't handle.
Drawing each other in, like a moth and a candle.
Your golden glory shimmering on,
never fading.
My silver glow,
unreliable as it comes and goes.
But together I would know,
as I always do,
that as long as I'm with you I'm safe,
no danger lurking.
I would stay until I could stay no more,
and even then I would linger by your door.
As I would leave,
with despair sure to follow,
I would smile and forget the pesky hands of time.
Have them put me back to where I felt most sublime.
I'd stay wrapped up in your arms until the end of all time.

There's Always A Brand New Day

Dear ever present readers,I have a renewed spirit tonight. I have been shown that not all hope is gone. I have a power within me that was previously unknown. Today was a very nice day, cold weather and all. I wish that everyday could be as sweet and reassuring as today.
This isn't really a "different" post. It's more of a good song tie-in dawning on me while my scientific and creative brains rambles away. The title brought it to mind. Who Knows? is a great song by Avril Lavigne that I like a significant amount. take a listen if you'd like to know why ;)
"I think there's something more, life's worth living for
Who knows what could happen.
Do what you do, just keep on laughing
One thing's true, there's always a brand new day
I'm gonna live today like it's my last day"

3OH!3 Day!

By the way guys, Happy 3Oh!3 day! It's March 3rd (3/03/12) which for all of the 3Oh!3 fans out there means they can buy some pretty cool 3Oh!3 stuff that they may have not been able to get previously and promote the band. I figured since 3Oh!3 is one of my personal favorite bands I could mention them to you guys again :) If you're feeling like listening a little more check them out on youtube. The first 3Oh!3 song I ever heard was Don't Trust Me. It was the favorite song of my group of friends for a while. I may even still have it memorized ;) Thanks for reading guys!

City On The Hill - Casting Crowns

This song means something to me because it basically says we need each other no matter how different we are. I like it a lot. Listen to it closely so that you can hear the meaning and not just the words.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJ5R08xDC6c
Did you hear of the city on the hill?
Said one old man to the other
It once shined bright, and it would be shining still
But they all started turning on each other
-You see the poets thought the dancers were shallow
And the soldiers thought the poets were weak
And the elders saw the young ones as foolish
And the rich man never heard the poor man speak
-But one by one, they ran away
With their made up minds to leave it all behind
And the light began to fade
In the City on the Hill, the City on the Hill
-Each one thought that they knew better
But they were different by design
Instead of standing strong together
They let their differences divide
-And one by one, they ran away
With their made up minds to leave it all behind
And the light began to fade
In the City on the Hill, the City on the Hill
-And the world is searching still
-But it was the rhythm of the dancers that gave the poets life
It was the spirit of the poets that gave the soldiers strength to fight
It was fire of the young ones, It was the wisdom of the old
It was the story of the poor man that needed to be told
-It is the rhythm of the dancers that gives the poets life
It is the spirit of the poets that gives the soldiers strength to fight
It is fire of the young ones, It is the wisdom of the old
It is the story of the poor man that's needing to be told
-But one by one will we run away
With our made up minds to leave it all behind
As the light begins to fade in the City on the Hill
-One by one will we run away
With our made up minds to leave it all behind
As the light begins to fade in the City on the Hill
The city on the hill
-(Come home)
And the Father's calling still
(Come home)
To the city on the hill
(Come home)

Wasted -Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood has a beautiful rich voice and a lovely range. Enjoy :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3znrBRa8PQ
-Standing at the back door
She tried to make it fast
One tear hit the hard wood
It fell like broken glass
She said sometimes love slips away
And you just can't get it back
Let's face it
-For one split second
She almost turned around
But that would be like pouring rain drops
Back into a cloud
So she took another step and said
I see the way out and I'm gonna' take it
-I don't wanna' spend my life jaded
Waiting to wake up one day and find
That I've let all these years go by
Wasted
-Another glass of whisky but it still don't kill the pain
So he stumbles to the sink and pours it down the drain
He says it's time to be a man and stop living for yesterday
Gotta face it.
-Cause' I don't wanna' spend my life jaded
Waiting to wake up one day and find
That I've let all these years go by
Wasted
-Oh I don't wanna' keep on wishing, missing
The still of the morning, the color of the night
I ain't spending no more time
Wasted
-She kept drivin' along
Till the moon and the sun were floating side-by-side
He looked in the mirror and his eyes were clear
For the first time in a while
-Hey, yeah,
Oh, I don't wanna' spend my life jaded
Waiting to wake up one day and find
That I've let all these years go by
Wasted
-Oh I don't wanna' keep on wishing, missing
The still of the morning, the color of the night
I ain't spending no more time

The Wedding -Casting Crowns

Okay guys, this is open minded music. You can digest it how you like and I hope you guys won't hate it just for the background. Favorite quotes:
"And she knows that she's undeserving
She bears the shame of history
With this worn and weary maiden
Is not the bride that he sees
And she wears white, head to toe
But only he could make it so

When someone dries your tears
When someone wins your heart
And says your beautiful
When you don't know you are
And all you've longed to see
Is written on his face
When love has come and finally set you free
On that wedding day"

Thank you for making me feel beautiful, both of you :)
